Week 8 of the NFL season is here with the Baltimore Ravens and Tampa Bay Buccaneers kicking things off on Thursday night.
That means it’s time for you to lock in your survivor pool (or knockout pool or whatever you call it) pick for this week and continue on and avoid elimination. So we decided it’s time to give you some help with that by ranking the five best teams to target, while trying to factor in those leagues that require you to only use a squad once per season.
Past picks: Week 2 | Week 3 | Week 4 | Week 5 | Week 6 | Week 7
Here’s who you should be considering ahead of Week 8 in descending order:
5
Cincinnati Bengals (at Cleveland Browns)
At home, Cleveland will give its division rival a game for a while. But Cincy should eventually pull away.
4
Miami Dolphins (at Detroit Lions)
In Tua Tagovailoa’s second week back, I expect Miami’s offense to come alive in this one.
3
Buffalo Bills (vs. Green Bay Packers)
Aaron Rodgers thinks this matchup could be just what the Packers need to wake up. I think it could put them to sleep for good.
2
Philadelphia Eagles (vs. Pittsburgh Steelers)
Eagles at home off a bye against a below average Steelers team feels like a good bet.
1
Dallas Cowboys (vs. Chicago Bears)
What the Bears were able to do Monday against the Patriots was cute. That won’t happen in Dallas.
