Week 3 of the NFL season is here with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns kicking things off on Thursday night.
That means it’s time for you to lock in your survivor pool (or knockout pool or whatever you call it) pick for this week and continue on and avoid elimination. So we decided it’s time to give you some help with that by ranking the five best teams to target, while trying to factor in those leagues that require you to only use a squad once per season.
Here’s who you should be considering ahead of Week 3 in descending order:
Las Vegas Raiders (at Tennessee Titans)
The Raiders haven’t played up to their potential yet, but they should be able to beat the Titans.
Cincinnati Bengals (at New York Jets)
This is going to be Cincinnati’s best chance to get off the early-season schneid, bad offensive line and all.
Los Angeles Chargers (vs. Jacksonville Jaguars)
The only thing concerning about this is Justin Herbert’s status. If he’s cleared, the Chargers probably jump to No. 1 as the only home team on this list.
Philadelphia Eagles (at Washington Commanders)
The Eagles are good. Very good. The Commanders are bad. Only worry is road division game, but that shouldn’t matter.
Baltimore Ravens (at New England Patriots)
Picking a team on the road at Foxboro feels wrong, but it’s not. New England won’t be able to keep up with Lamar Jackson and company.
