Week 2 of the NFL season is here with the Los Angeles Chargers and Kanas City Chiefs kicking off on Thursday night.
That means it’s time for you to lock in your survivor pool (or knockout pool or whatever you call it) pick for this week and continue on and avoid elimination. So we decided it’s time to give you some help with that by ranking the five best teams to target, while trying to factor in those leagues that require you to only use a squad once per season.
Here’s who you should be considering ahead of Week 2 in descending order:
5
Indianapolis Colts (at Jacksonville Jaguars)
Division game on the road makes this the worse of the best. But Indy should bounce back for a win.
4
Denver Broncos (vs. Houston Texans)
Denver has some things to clean up, and Houston is the perfect team to do it against.
3
Buffalo Bills (vs. Tennessee Titans)
Titans always play the Bills tough, but this year’s Buffalo team is in another class.
2
Los Angeles Rams (vs. Atlanta Falcons)
The options clearly aren’t great with this being the third team that failed to win in Week 1. But the Falcons aren’t the Bills. LA should roll.
1
Cincinnati Bengals (at Dallas Cowboys)
Another Week 1 loser brings our picks to a collective 1-3-1! But a prideful Cincy team coming off an embarrassing loss and going against a Dallas team playing a backup QB is no doubt the best survivor pool option this week.
