The beef between Eli Apple and Tyreek Hill is Thursday Night Football’s most exciting subplot

The Cincinnati Bengals are getting ready to host the Miami Dolphins on Thursday night and there’s a lot to look forward to.

First, we’ve got the debut of Cincy’s “White Bengal” alternative uniforms, which is highlighted by a clean new white helmet with black Bengal stripes.

Secondly, this is a big test for the Bengals who’ll try to claw to .500 while the Dolphins look to move to 4-0 and remain one of two undefeated teams in the NFL.

And third, but most importantly, the beef-watch between Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill and Bengals cornerback Eli Apple is something to pay attention to. Hill made it known following Miami’s Week 3 win over the Bills that he’s looking forward to going against Eli Apple.

If you’re unfamiliar with what exactly Hill is referencing, let’s rewind.

Back in January of this year, Hill, formerly of the Kansas City Chiefs, met Apple and the Bengals in the AFC Championship. The Chiefs led Cincy 21-10 and were primed to take a 28-10 lead into the locker room, but the clock ran out on K.C. at the Bengals’ goal line as Apple threw down Hill right before the half.

The stop ended up being the turning point in the game and the Bengals would outscore the Chiefs 17-3 in the second half to win the game and the AFC.

Apple wasn’t shy about hyping up the game-changing tackle he made on Hill. More specifically, he went on Twitter and called him “a baby.”

It certainly was noted by Tyreek and some others. And later on in the postseason when Apple got the game-winning touchdown of the Super Bowl scored on him, Hill had a simple tweet that summed up his feelings.

And now they meet again with intentions clear from at least one side.

Will we actually see Apple matched up on Hill? And if so, who’s winning the battle?
