When a band releases as many hits as the Beatles did, it's inevitable that the musicians won't be fond of every single one.
One Beatles song was reportedly disliked by one member of the band more than everyone else. With George Harrison going as far as to say he 'hated' recording the track.
The band began to drift apart towards the recording of Abbey Road, as John Lennon's drug use spiralled, and Paul McCartney becoming 'overbearing' in the view of some band members. In interviews around the time, members spoke of songs they didn't enjoy.

The song that seemed to send the band over the edge was Maxwell's Silver Hammer. Harrison said: "Sometimes Paul would make us do these really fruity songs.
"I mean, my God, Maxwell’s Silver Hammer was so fruity. After a while we did a good job on it, but when Paul got an idea or an arrangement in his head..." The song is well known for taking weeks to record so that it was up to Paul McCartney's exact specification.
Even the normally quiet Ringo Starr was quick to complain of the experience spent recording the track. He said "The worst session ever was Maxwell’s Silver Hammer. It was the worst track we ever had to record. It went on for weeks. I thought it was mad.”
John Lennon also spoke of his frustrations recording the track in a Playboy interview in 1980. He claimed McCartney made them re-do it 'a hundred million times'.
