The Batman star Robert Pattinson said he is disappointed that he couldn't spend a month in Glasgow.
Robert was on the red carpet for The Batman London premiere at the BFI IMAX Waterloo on Wednesday night.
The Twilight star plays the caped crusader in the latest DC film, which was partly filmed in Scotland.
Glasgow Cathedral and Glasgow Royal Infirmary, as well as the city's famed Necropolis, all take starring roles in the new movie as well as Hartwood Psychiatric Hospital in Shotts, which doubles as Gotham’s orphanage.
However Robert never actually made it to film here, with producers using stunt doubles for the action scenes instead.
He's now said: "We were supposed to be there for a month. It’s very disappointing. I love Glasgow though."
In a chat with STV, director Matt Reeves claimed that Covid was the reason filming schedules were tight.
He said: "I wish we could have shot there more. It’s such a beautiful place.
"We shot in the Necropolis and we wanted to do some other things. But, you know, because of Covid and the time, it was very targeted what we did. But I hope we’ll be back."
Robert stars in the film alongside Paul Dano as The Riddler, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth and Zoe Kravitiz as Catwoman.
Robert said in the past that it was 'not at all surprising to me that Glasgow has become a sort of unofficial Gotham City. When you think of Gotham you think of a wonderfully Gothic city – and that’s why Glasgow works so well.”
And he claimed to know the city well adding: "The architecture in Glasgow is incredible – it has that real 19th century feel to it hence why it makes for a brilliant Gotham.
"George Square is my favourite part of the city – there is so much wonderful architecture on view from one central location."
