The Bat Signal has lit once again in Berea

Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski announced Monday afternoon that star running back Nick Chubb will return to the practice field this week and be activated off the PUP list. This is just the boost the Browns need after back-to-back abysmal losses.

This opens the 21-day window for Chubb to return to the 53-man roster and see some playing time. The long-awaited return of Chubb could not come at a better time for Cleveland fans after they have suffered back-to-back losses.

The Browns’ identity and motivation offensively have struggled to find itself without Nick Chubb in the backfield. In the past, he was the X-factor in Cleveland’s offense that promoted a decisive run game behind Chubb. Jerome Ford has filled in nicely for Chubb but has struggled to fill the very large shoes that his injury left behind.

He will not be expected to receive a full workload right away, but seeing him on the field again might be the spark this team needs. We’ll find out Wednesday just how soon he can return to live action.
