The Bachelor's new season will be 'most emotional' yet as Zach is 'intentional' in hunt

The Bachelor returns for a brand new season next week, with Bachelorette star Zach Shallcross hoping to finally get lucky in love.

The 26-year-old tech executive will have 30 women vying for his heart, with the show's host Jesse Palmer saying it is "the most emotional" series of the entire Bachelor Nation franchise.

Zach, who comes from Anaheim Hills, California, stole the hearts of fans when he appeared on season 19 of The Bachelorette and showed he wasn't afraid to display his emotions.

Speaking about the contestant, Jesse said: "The women are really into Zach. Zach’s so emotionally mature, and he’s a guy that’s not afraid to wear his emotion on his sleeve.

"He’s very, very intentional. This is easily the most emotional show that I’ve hosted in the franchise," he told US Weekly.

Zach is a family man at heart and splits his time between Texas and Orange County.

His parents have been married for more than 30 years and have become Zach's idea of the perfect relationship.

The reality star hopes to find a love that echoes the standard they have set for him, and he plans to keep them in mind when looking for a life partner.

30 women are looking for love on the show, with contestants such as a rodeo racer, a therapist, a nanny, a stylist and a dancer.

The ladies come from all over the United States, with one contestant even coming from Vienna, Austria.

Zach previously met some of the women during the Bachelorette After the Final Rose, which aired back in September, with one of the contestants receiving a First Impression Rose.

"For the first time in the history of this show, we’re going to be awarding America’s First Impression Rose," Jesse told Zach during the show.

Zach was then introduced to Bailey, 27, Brianna, 24, Brooklyn, 25, Cat, 26, and Christina Mandrell, 26.

Brianna took a selfie with Zach in front of the Bachelor Mansion backdrop so they could have something to remember the experience with.

Her move won over Zach and earned her the first rose of the season.

As a result, she will be safe from elimination when she and the rest of the women pull up at the Bachelor Mansion on the first night.

The Bachelor season 27 premieres on ABC in the US on Monday, January 23 and is available to stream on Hayu in the UK and Ireland from January 25
