The areas of Cardiff where the most crimes are committed and what they are

Police forces across the UK publish data showing the numbers and types of crimes reported in each area - including South Wales Police.

According to this data, 3,461 crimes were recorded across the city in December 2021, the most recently available data.

These crimes ranged from anti-social behaviour and bicycle theft to violence and sexual offences.

In December 2021, Cathays, the area which covers the city centre, had the most offences, with 730 being recorded. Out of these, 202 were recorded as violence and sexual offences, 117 were recorded as anti-social behaviour, 105 were shoplifting, and 306 came under 'all other crime.'
