The Apprentice star Amy Anzel has been rocking the red carpet after being blocked on Twitter by Lord Alan Sugar. In a move blasted as 'awkward' Amy found herself snubbed on social media by the business tycoon.
Amy discovered she had been blocked by Lord Sugar, the boss of the BBC One business competitiion which sees 18 candidates competiting to win £250,000 investment, after slamming this year's series. American entrepeneur Amy has previously spoken out about her experience on the hit show since being fired halfway through the 2022 series.
The boss of beauty brand Hollywood Browzer Beauty was unimpressed to be shown the door from the contest with a scathing dig about her not becoming a project manager, despite her being sub team leader in four out of six tasks. Lord Sugar referenced how she had lived in Los Angeles and asked her if she was an 'LA Dodger'.

He sniped: "You dodged the project management side of things, you've been here six weeks to show that you can do something, and you haven't shown me you can do something. And so it is with regret that you're fired. Thank you."
Last month Amy said she believes it's time for a shake-up for the show, which launched back in 2005, saying it should be more celebratory of the achievements. She told the Manchester Evening News: "I believe it's making fools of people and no-one takes it seriously anymore. People think the candidates are jokes and it's a set-up, but they have to look dumb to make for car crash TV."
Amy also believes it's time for Lord Sugar, 75, to bow out to make way for a new tycoon to take the helm. The British entrepreneur has agreed to do two more series, taking him to his 19th, and he's said he'd be "delighted to do a 20th." "It's time for new blood and Richard Branson would bring a new era," she said. "To me it poorly represents entrepreneurs in the UK."
Amy tweeted about being blocked: “AWKWARD @Lord_Sugar, I always knew you didn’t like me and couldn’t WAIT to fire me last year! It’s time to turn your firing finger upon yourself." And she added: "It’s time for your retirement! x" Over on her Instagram she wrote alongside the blocked notification: "Wearing it like a badge of honour."
Amy has seen Hollywood Browzer Beauty, stocked by the likes of Boots, River Island, Amazon and Argos, go from strength to strength. In February she was thrilled to learn that her dermaplaning beauty tools will now be sold in the Middle East after being snapped up here in the UK, in her homeland America and as far as Australia and New Zealand.
Last week Amy rocked the red carpet at a launch event for celebrity makeup artist Sally Rowe and her new Hero collection lashes with Lashed by JLG Cosmetics at Sakku Samba in Manchester's Spinningfields. Amy was a guest at the event along with former Coronation Street star Kym Marsh and her look-alike singer daughrer Emilie, and former Hollyoaks star Jazmine Franks who is expecting her first child. "Loved seeing @JazzFranks and The Bump," wrote Amy as she Instagrammed a beaming snap of the ladies together at the event.
Next week the final five candidates Dani Donovan, Marnie Swindells, Megan Hornby, Rochelle Anthony and Victoria Goulbourne, will battle it out in the semi-final. They will come face-to-face with Lord Sugar's most trusted advisors including Baroness Karren Brady, Linda Plant and Claude Littner, who will be returning for this episode after being replaced for a second run as one of Lord Augar's aides throughout the tasks by Tim Campbell.
