It's crunch time, quite literally, for The Apprentice candidates tonight as they're tasked with making and selling their own line of bao buns.
Unsurprisingly, it looks like mayhem is set to erupt as the boys forget one crucial element of the task this evening...
Lord Alan Sugar puts his potential new business partner to the test, and this week is no different, as the boys and girls teams set out to make and sell their own savoury bao buns.
In an exclusive clip shared with the Mirror, the boys’ team can be seen serving up a storm to the general public, but they seem to have forgotten the goal of the task, to make the highest profit.
Lord Sugar’s right hand man Claude Littner isn’t available, so Tim Campbell is filling in to observe the boys and reflect on their ability to work as a team.
As they draw in a crowd for their Fire Cracker Chicken buns, Scottish contestant Reece charm another customer into a sale and adds: “Trust me you’ll try this and be back for more, I guarantee it.”
As they package up another warm and fluffy good-looking bun, Tim tells the camera: “The team are doing really well, but when you’ve got an access audience you should be trying to upsell.
He warned: “They’re selling the item just at £8.50 and adding the sauce for free, but this is a profit-making task and their missing out essential pounds.”
It seems the boys might not follow their winning streak from last week, after they thrashed the other team by making almost double the profit on their historical tour of Antiqua.
Only time will tell if the boys have done enough to secure their place in next week’s challenge, or if they’ll end up at the café for a coffee fighting for their place in the competition.
The next episode of The Apprentice airs on Thursday 12 January at 9pm BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
