The McGee & Co. sale just got better. There's now up to 50% off loads of gorgeous decor, and since it's one of my favorite stores to shop for pieces to update my home, naturally I am filling up my basket with the best Black Friday deals.
This time I am focusing on lovely cozy pieces that are going to make my home feel extra warm and welcoming over the holidays. I am talking throws, pillows, candles, maybe just a touch of festive decor. And I am hunting for pieces under $100, of which there is plenty. Let's get started.
The best cozy decor buys in the McGee & Co. sale
I am a neutrals lover, my whole home is layers of various whites. beiges, creams, and browns. Luckily that's very much McGee & Co's vibe too. How I like to update my spaces in the colder months is to bring in even more textures, more layers, and slightly darker neutrals like browns and deep soft grays. Again, luckily there's a ton of that going on in the McGee & Co. Black Friday sale. And of course, I can't ignore the McGee & Co. holiday decor, so much of it is on offer and it's all beautiful.
Pillows
Pillows are the main way I refresh my living room and bedroom as the seasons and interior design trends change. There are pages and pages of offers, but here's what I am picking up (some I am doubling up on too), a nice mix of different neutrals so it will stick work with what's currently in my space and I am thinking that Bruna pillow is going to give my bed an instant luxurious update.
I find a pillow of this shape really adds an elegance to a bed spread. Layer two or four pillows behind and use this to add even more shape and depth.
A soft forest green instantly makes any room feel cozier and more welcoming. It looks lovely mixed with other earthy tones too that perfect for a wintery update. There's a touch of extra texture going on here too with the fringing which I always like to see - the more textures the better when it comes to soft furnishings.
This kind of soft, traditional print is a big trend right now. It's brining in pattern but in a very subtle way that works with many trends and color schemes.
Throws
Again, throws are a lovely way to bring softness into your room to give them a really quick and easy wintery update. There are plenty in the McGee & Co. sale and plenty under $100 too. Just like with cushions, I like to layer a few different throws over a couch or at the end of the bed, and this selection would work well together or individually.
Super soft and the kind of gray that works with any color scheme, this blanket will add a lovely relaxed look to any room. The slight fringing ticks my must-have texture box and the price means I am picking up one for me and one for a gift.
Textures galore here. I can image this would work really well with the softer, light throw above to create some really interesting layers. This throw is a blend of wool and silk so the perfect balance of cozy and chic.
You can't go wrong with classic plaid at this time of year. The warm, earthy hues are perfect too and it's a great price too, the most affordable throw in the sale right now.
Candles and decor
And of course, the easiest (and often least inexpensive way) to update your home and make it feel cozier is with candles and decor. Some of my favorite Christmas candles have come from McGee and Co. Plus, there is some lovely Christmas decor on offer too that is just subtly festive enough for me to put up right now.
With 50% off this garland is such a bargain. And this set up of having it frame a door rather than the more traditional set up of along a mantle piece has got me inspired. I will be trying this out as soon as it arrives.
These would make for such a lovely gift, so naturally, I am picking up two since they are such a bargain. I usually start off my holiday decor by adding a couple of candles and a bit of evergreen to the mantle so these will be ideal to start adding in some festive flourishes.
Not technically a Christmas candle but the orange notes in this do make it decidedly festive. It has got fresh, citrussy notes but the oak makes it deeper and richer, there's a touch of clove in there too. Plus, I love the simplicity of the look, it means I can use it in any room and it won't clash with my style (as many holiday candles often do).
