The 2023 Good Beer Guide celebrates 4,500 pubs across the UK - and 71 of those are in Nottinghamshire. Idyllic rural retreats and busy city centre pubs feature in the definitive guide for beer drinkers.
The list, compiled by volunteers across the country belonging to the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), highlights the very best pints in the most picturesque and friendly pubs. Drinking holes from Arnold to Worksop are recommended.
The 50th edition, packed with nearly 1,000 pages, considers beer quality as well as the history and architecture of a pub and various aspects such as food, gardens, family and disabled facilities, plus special events. Local breweries, responsible for supplying the pubs, are also listed.
