The £50 dehumidifier from Argos that is helping shoppers 'eliminate condensation'

Argos shoppers have heaped praise on a £50 dehumidifier that has helped them to eliminate condensation from their home during the winter.

With temperatures continuing to plummet and people avoiding popping on the heating due to rising energy bills, many households might begin to experience a rise in condensation.

In a bid to help manage the excess moisture, and prevent any damp and mould forming, many have resorted to purchasing electric dehumidifiers. While these nifty home gadgets can help manage the issues, they can often be quite expensive, with some being priced at over £200.

Luckily, Argos currently has one in stock that costs just £50 and it has received glowing reviews from shoppers for reducing condensation and black mould, particularly from their bedrooms.

The retailer's Challenge 0.5 Litre Mini Dehumidifier is said to be perfect for helping to remove the moisture from small spaces and comes complete with the ability to extract 300ml of water per day.

It also comes complete with a 0.5L water tank, auto-shut-off setting and a one year manufacturers gaurantee, which will protect you for any repairs or damages that happen within that timeframe.

Don't let this dehumidifiers basic functions and small size fool you, as 554 customers have left this nifty gadget five star reviews, with many saying it draws out a lot more water than expected.

One lengthy review read: "Bought this to try and reduce window condensation in one room (approx 4.5m x 3m), which has also suffered with black mould around window sill. After having used for more than a week, I can say that window condensation has pretty much been eliminated.

"Time will tell if the mould also doesn't come back, but I'm confident. I did place this on the window sill anyway, which is almost certainly helping to deal with the condensation. Whether it would be as effective on the other side of the room, I don't know. Regarding noise, it's extremely quiet and not disruptive to sleep in the slightest."

A second happy customer wrote: "I got this about a month ago for my bedroom it's brilliant my clothes don't feel damp anymore it really does collect a lot of water it's a God send."

A third shopper simply said of the dehumidifier: "Really helps eliminate condensation on these cold and wet days."

The Challenge 0.5 Litre Mini Dehumidifier is available for £50 from Argos.
