The 5 best NFL prop bets: Week 18

With so many question marks in games as to which teams will or won’t play veteran starters or how long they choose to risk it, these bets involve four players on teams that need to win and one who is stepping in with a game plan that should make his path to the pay window easier than expected.

Odds provided by BetMGM Sportsbook

5
Baltimore Ravens TE Mark Andrews OVER 33.5 receiving yards (-115)

Andrews has topped this number in three of his last four games. The Ravens are gigantic 20-point favorite over the hapless Cleveland Browns, but they will likely rotate players and try to run the ball. Tight ends stay on the field in run-heavy scenarios. Even if he plays only half the snaps, it will likely take just two or three receptions to top this number.

4
Los Angeles Rams RB Blake Corum OVER 54.5 rushing yards (-120)

Sean McVay leans on a single running back more than any other coach and doesn’t deviate. Kyren Williams has unworldly snap percentages for an NFL running back. Williams is sitting against the Seattle Seahawks, because the Rams have bigger plans. Enter Corum. Even if he doesn’t have early success, he’s going to get 20 carries. If you’ve seen Corum run, 20 carries is 80 yards, not 54.

3
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans UNDER 101.5 receiving yards (-115)

The Buccaneers are win and in. The New Orleans Saints are on fumes. This is a line set because of history is at stake. Evans is the only player to ever have 1,000 receiving yards in each of his first 10 years. He needs 85 yards Sunday to extend the streak. The Saints will likely double him every play to be the team that stopped it – even in defeat. It may take 10 catches. Odds are he gets to 85 – just not the 102 needed to win this bet.

2
Atlanta Falcons RB Bijan Robinson OVER 99.5 rushing yards (-120)

Credit: Brett Davis-Imagn Images

The Falcons have engaged in playoff-style elimination football for the last month. Robinson has been the catalyst. In his first 28 career games, Robinson rushed 22 times just once. In his last five, he’s rushed 22 or more times in four. The Falcons need to win and get help to make the playoffs – only one NFC South team is invited to the party. This is a big number, but 22 carries will get it done against the Carolina Panthers.

1
Minnesota Vikings WR Justin Jefferson scores a touchdown (-125)

J.J.’s game against the Detroit Lions will be the most viewed regular-season NFL game in history. Two 14-2 teams in the same division. Every other NFL player is watching. In the brightest of non-Super Bowl primetime spotlights, this has the feel of an old-time boxing match. The hype build has been overwhelming. At last check, Jefferson is playing in this game. You think he doesn’t score a touchdown? He has each of the last three times against Detroit – with far less at stake. Griddy time!
