The 5 best bets for NFL Week 4

This week’s best bets provide a variety of offerings. An undefeated road underdog looking to make a statement on the moneyline, a pair of division rivals hitting Under their projection, two big-play offenses going Over its projection, and a pair of Hall of Fame quarterbacks doing what they do best to cover significant point spreads.

Odds provided by BetMGM Sportsbook

5
Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans: Take UNDER 45.5 points (-110)

Both of these teams have strong defenses and offenses that, while potent and loaded with stars, haven’t been consistently putting up points this season. The Texans have scored just 26 points in their last two games, and the Jaguars has scored just 40 points in three games.

While both offenses have the ability to post big points, this has the looks of a move-the-chains divisional game with enough field goals to stay Under.

4
Take New York Jets and lay 7.5 points (-110) vs. Denver Broncos

This is a matchup of two vastly different quarterbacks. Bo Nix is going up against a Jets defense that is elite at all three levels. They swarm in the pass rush and are opportunistic on the back end. Aaron Rodgers is spinning it like he’s five years younger than he is.

Nix has faced one elite defense (Pittsburgh) and the Broncos came away with six points. The Jets are just as good. The only difference is they also have the most cerebral quarterback who is effectively calling his own plays. This won’t be close.

3
Take Minnesota Vikings on the moneyline (+115) at Green Bay Packers

At this time, there is question whether Jordan Love will return from knee injury. The Vikings defense isn’t the ideal opponent if the Packers are hastening his timeline.

The Vikings have terrorized opposing QBs – leading the league with 16 sacks. If Green Bay makes a business decision and starts Malik Willis, Brian Flores will unleash the hounds. Either way, Minnesota’s high-powered offense (including former Packer Aaron Jones) has enough to come out of Lambeau Field with a win regardless of the Packers starting QB.

2
Take Kansas City Chiefs and lay 7 points (-110) at Los Angeles Chargers

The Chiefs are off are rolling largely due to defense. The Chargers don’t have a home-field advantage as SoFi Stadium is often flooded with road fans to take away any edge.

A healthy Justin Herbert is 1-4 head-to-head against Mahomes. He isn’t healthy. A high-ankle sprain has knocked him out of the last two games. The Chargers have their bye following this game and will make the business decision to protect their franchise QB at the expense of this week.

1
Buffalo Bills vs. Baltimore Ravens: Take OVER 46.5 points (-110)

Credit: Gregory Fisher-Imagn Images

The two most dangerous quarterbacks in the league are Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson. Both make the biggest plays for their respective offenses on a weekly basis with their legs.

Granted, both teams have weapons beyond their franchise QBs, but this has the setup to be one of the back-and-forth “whatever you can do, I can do better” affairs that could become an instant classic. Both teams will keep the throttle open, and this number will get surpassed.
