The 2022 NFL regular season is coming to an end, with just a week left to play.
This seems like a great time to look back at the job that Miami Dolphins general manager Chris Grier has done to manage the salary cap, specifically minimizing dead cap space.
In total, the Dolphins have just $18.36 million in dead cap for the year – the sixth-lowest mark in the league, behind the Indianapolis Colts ($15.96 million), Cincinnati Bengals ($15.77 million), Kansas City Chiefs ($15.1 million), New York Jets ($13 million) and Los Angeles Chargers ($10.98 million), according to Spotrac.
