The £32 portable heater that Argos shoppers say warms a room 'instantly'

People are flocking to praise a £32 portable heater which they say has meant they can turn off their central heating. As temperatures continue to stay freezing many have turned to the Argos heater as an alternative to other costly measures.

And shoppers have been left impressed by the Challenge 2kW Ceramic Fan Heater which they say is not only effective but also cheaper than putting on the central heating. Many have shared their views on the product saying it heats the whole room quickly and is also affordable to run.

According to the Daily Record the fan heater has three different settings giving a variety of temperature options. It also has a safety cut-out switch which prevents it overheating.

With a 1.8m cord it also means it can be moved easily around the home. Reviews on the Argos website gave it a 93% recommendation rating.

Almost 600 shoppers have given it a five star rating on the Argos product page. And much of the praise came over how well it does at heating the home without leaving householders with bumper bills.

One five-star review read: "Warming electric heater that is much cheaper to run than the central heating." A second said: "I bought it last month and I am happy I did, it consumes lesser energy and reduce my cost of putting on central heating."

A third wrote: "I bought this to heat up my lounge for when I wfh as I didn’t want to have the gas on constantly given the rising costs at the moment. My lounge is a fairly large room so I was worried that it may not be as effective as I’d hoped - however it is fantastic. Blasts hot air and heats up the room within minutes. No complaints whatsoever!"

Another added: "It heats up quickly and the white noise is very nice to sleep to. Its energy efficient and heats up the room quickly and is cheaper than putting the heating on. There is a button underneath that means if it gets knocked over it will turn off so I dont need to worry about it causing any fires. If I could I'd get one for my living room too so I dont need to put the heating on at all."

The Challenge 2kW Ceramic Fan Heater can be purchased for £32 on the Argos website.
