Robert Lewandowski was all smiles on Monday night as he was named the 2021 FIFA Best Men's Player, beating the likes of Lionel Messi and Mohamed Salah to the top prize.
Many felt the Polish goal machine should have taken home the Ballon d'Or over Messi, so a smidgen of justice has now at least been served with this outcome.
Chelsea duo N'Golo Kante and Jorginho had been in the running for both awards but ultimately left empty-handed. In this instance, both finished outside the top three, with Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo both above the duo.
There was some good news for the Blues, however, as Thomas Tuchel and Edouard Mendy took home prizes for Best Men's Manager and Best Men's Goalkeeper, while Jorginho did make the team of the year. Emma Hayes was also named Best Women's manager.
Every national team manager and captain gets to vote on the award, picking their top three with a certain number of points awarded depending on the position.
The official results of every player's vote have now emerged, so we can take a closer look at who voted for both Kante and Jorginho.
While they may not have topped the final standings, 23 captains or managers voted one of the duo as their player of the year, including eventual winner Lewandowski and Ronaldo's own national team boss.
