Porto is a coastal city in northwest Portugal known for its stately bridges and port wine production. In the medieval Ribeira (riverside) district, narrow cobbled streets wind past merchants’ houses and cafes.

The city will surprise you with its quantity and quality of beaches, many of which are easily accessibly by public transport. Porto lies at the heart of the Costa Verde, a rugged coastline of golden beaches, rocky headlands and dramatic natural scenery.

According to Skyscanner, there is a return flight from Leeds Bradford to Porto from £23 per adult. It is with Ryanair, with the outbound flight FR2399 leaving on Sunday, June 4 at 8.35pm and arriving in Portugal at 11.10pm.

The return flight even days later, on Sunday, June 11, leaves Porto at 5.10pm and arrives back at 7.55pm. With hotels around £50-£60 a night, a holiday for two adults for seven nights would cost around £650.
