Some 22 business patrons are backing the ProCon Leicestershire network of property and construction professionals and firms in 2022 – in what is seen as a positive sign for the organisation’s post-Covid future.
The list includes 11 new patrons whose support will enable ProCon to connect its members throughout a year of events and online and offline networking.
ProCon returned to face-to-face gatherings last autumn after a lockdown programme of online webinars.
The eleven new patrons for 2022 are Ashe Construction, BSP Consulting, Castle Surveys, Charles Henry and Sons, Charles Street Buildings Group, Design Studio Architects, Freeths, Galliford Try, PrintPrint, Pulse Consult and RJA Consultants.
They join the 11 patrons continuing their support – Berkeley Insurance Group, Corporate Architecture, Danaher & Walsh, Diamond Wood and Shaw, Gateley Legal, MDA Consulting, Pick Everard, Shakespeare Martineau, Stephen George + Partners, Unique Window Systems and Willmott Dixon Construction.
Five of the 2022 patrons were among the very first to sign up in 2015 including Leicester-based Berkeley Insurance Group.
Its chief executive Tim Maxted said: “ProCon Leicestershire is a hugely valuable network and at Berkeley Insurance Group we remain committed to helping its members.
“We are proud to have been a patron from the beginning and look forward to another successful year ahead for ProCon.
“It is a thriving organisation which has mutual support at its heart – an ethos which resonates within Berkeley Insurance Group.”
Fergus Shaw, managing director of Diamond Wood and Shaw said: “Diamond Wood & Shaw has been an active member of ProCon since the patron scheme was introduced.
“I recognised then, and still do, that ProCon Leicestershire is one of the most, if not the most, important local organisations for anyone related to the property and construction profession in our region.
“I am pleased to continue to provide public support and essential funding to ensure that ProCon Leicestershire continues to promote all of the positive aspects of our business, and all the sectors that make up our industry.”
The backing of the patrons, many based in Leicestershire, enables the 22-year-old organisation to better connect its 600-plus members.
As well as enabling events to take place, the patrons’ support also helps sustain ProCon’s website which provides a platform for individual members and firms to connect with each other and to share news and views.
ProCon chair Umesh Desai said: “Having a record number of patrons is the best possible start to 2022 for ProCon Leicestershire.
“It means we can plan the year ahead full of confidence and ambition.
“Thanks to these 22 businesses showing their support we can look forward to a successful calendar of events which bring our great industry together to collaborate and forge new partnerships for the benefit of Leicestershire.”
