Races for Cancer Research UK are slated to return to London for the summer with events kicking off from May.
Britons across the country are being encouraged to join the charity’s non-competitive Race For Live events, regardless of fitness levels and age, to help fundraise for the charity.
A whole host of Race for Live events have been confirmed, including 3k, 5k and 10ks that will see people take on the course at various speeds, from walks to jogs to longer distance challenges, while obstacle courses have also been organised, known as Pretty Muddy races.
Analysis by Cancer Research UK showed that cancer rates in 25- to 49-year-olds surged by 24 per cent between 1995 and 2019 across the country. The independent organisation flagged last year that, worryingly, cancer survival rates have slowed in the past 10 years compared to in previous decades.
The charity has organised the following events in the capital:
More than 10 million people have taken part in these events since 1994, which have seen them raise some £970m.
There are entry fees to join the events, however, people have been advised they can participate at half-price if they sign up during January.
We're back! ❤️ Help us keep beating cancer by joining Race for Life 2025 and get 50% off entry if you sign up now! 💪✨

Broadcaster and DJ Adele Roberts, who was successfully treated for bowel cancer in 2021, has urged people to sign up for Race for Life after being inspired by those close to her. She said: "I Race for Life because of my little sister, Lois.
“Within the space of two years, my Auntie Ann had lost our Uncle Phil to cancer and then had to go through it herself – without her husband. Lois wanted to do something in tribute to Auntie Ann and Uncle Phil and give back to the organisations that’d helped them.
“Without any training, she just got up one day and ran, driven by passion in her heart. Her determination inspired me to change my life – starting with walking, then eventually running. So, Lois, I race for you.”
