The full list of 2024 MLB All-Star players on the American and National League rosters — including the starters — and we’ve got some stars having really, really good seasons who got left out.
Of course we know this happens every year in every sport: Inevitably, some talent gets left out for one reason (roster size) or another (in this case, every MLB team needs to be represented, which doesn’t help).
So let’s go over some of the guys left out, and maybe if there’s an injury or any other reason a player has to bow out, this list will provide some good replacements.
Here we go, in no particular order:
1. SS Francisco Lindor, New York Mets
Here, this should convince you:
1) All-Star
2) All-Star
3) All-Star
4) All-Star
5) Francisco Lindor
6) All-Star
7) All-Star
8) All-Star
9) All-Star
10) All-StarLindor hasnt been an all star somehow as a Met. What the hell did he do to these people pic.twitter.com/Gbny58VllH

2. 1B Christian Walker, Arizona Diamondbacks
C’mon!
1 of these guys was named an all star, 1 was not…

3. OF Brandon Nimmo, New York Mets
Dude’s got 53 RBI this year!
Nimmo 2nd in fWAR for NL OF (13th overall)
Lindor 3rd in fWAR for NL SS (7th overall)
Alonso 7th in fWAR for NL 1B (45th overall)Alonso is the only All-Star on the team. Make it make sense. pic.twitter.com/MVV12QgNm7

4. OF Anthony Santander, Baltimore Orioles
What’s with the Orioles snubs?
Santander got absolutely snubbed.

5. RP Craig Kimbrel, Baltimore Orioles
See above.
The Orioles got absolutely undeniably snubbed on the all-star rosters.
Craig Kimbrel has been the best closer in the AL with all due respect for Clay Holmes.
Marcus Semien over Jordan Westburg is indefensible.
Kyle Tucker over Anthony Santander is lunacy.
Shoulder chipped.

6. SP Cristopher Sanchez, Philadelphia Phillies
Hard to complain when the Phils have a bunch of their hurlers on the squad. But a snub is a snub!
Among qualified NL starters Cristopher Sánchez is second in FIP (2.58) and fourth in WAR (2.9), per @fangraphs.
If he was on any other team, he probably would have been an All-Star. Have to think he has a shot to still make it as a replacement.

7. 2B Brice Turang, Milwaukee Brewers
A .288 average and 29 swipes! Not on the team!
Legit 0 reason why Arraez made it over Turang pic.twitter.com/cXSV2MVJSL

8. SP Ronel Blanco, Houston Astros
Kind of wild given the year he’s having.
Ronel Blanco should be an All Star. Thank you.#Relentless
