The 2024 ARIA Awards Red Carpet Has Kicked Off So Let’s Judge The Looks Together, Shall We?

Hello and welcome to another year of celebrating Australian music excellence at the 2024 ARIA Awards. Although the night is about giving our musos the flowers they deserve for keeping us locked and loaded with new music, it’s also a yearly occasion where we get to sit at home and silently judge the outfits our favourite celebs rock up in.

The red carpet officially kicked off at 1:30pm, with the actual ARIA Awards scheduled to begin from 5:00pm AEST.

In case you were wondering, you can catch all the music award-goodness streamed live on Stan. Or, if you prefer, you can catch a broadcast on Nine shortly after.

One of the best things about the ARIA red carpet is that it is significantly more casual than other award ceremonies. Whether it’s the early kick-off time or the warm, sunny weather, we often see celebs with street-style-inspired looks that err on the more relaxed side rather than the glitz and glam of events like the Logies

So, without further ado, please join me in revelling in all the looks from the 2024 ARIA Awards.

2024 ARIA Awards Red Carpet: All the looks as they hit the carpet!

Grentperez

If I am anything, it is a Grentperez fan. My sweet, honey-voiced king can do nothing wrong in my eyes. Even wearing his mum’s cardigan on the red carpet. I’m just KIDDING. He’s giving English teacher at the local public school who felt that the air-con’s crisp breeze was a tad too harsh.

Angus and Julia Stone

Cursive singing brother and sister duo Angus and Julia Stone have kept things simple this year. They look great but admittedly, it’s a bit boring.

Daniel Seavey

If there’s one thing I love in men’s fashion, it’s sassy little crop tops. Combine that with a chainmail number and you’ve got a winner in my eyes. I think this medieval-esque look is a win for American singer Daniel Seavy.

Surely Shirley

Twin sister duo Jenaya and Anisha Okpalanze of Surely Shirley are giving quirky dolls in this fraternal, not identical look. It’s silly, fun and playful. I’m so here for it.

G Flip

The one and only G Flip looks timeless in this oversized pinstriped suit. I imagine that underneath they would be sweating bullets. Regardless, they look like they’re having a great time. If only their wife, Chrishell Stause, was here because their red carpet antics are always so cute.

Forest Claudette

I adore this look. The patterned shirt. The hair. The make-up. Forest Claudette ate and left no crumbs.

The Wiggles

I absolutely love that The Wiggles always rock up representing their wiggly skivvie colour. Talk about a commitment to the bit!!!!

Amy Shark

Sometimes, the best thing to do when you’re in doubt about a fashion choice is to keep it simple. Amy Shark is a great example of how simplicity can be the key to a timeless, gorgeous outfit. Also my 5’3′ ass needs to know where she got those platforms from.

Ava Max

American singer Ava Max is performing at the 2024 ARIA Awards. Before she hits the stage, she had to pop by the red carpet to give us a good look at her slinky, metallic dress. I don’t know what I expected from the international star but this is much grungier than anticipated. Slay!

Tkay Maidza

Apologies to everyone else in attendance today because Tkay Maidza has won the award for being the cutest person there. Sorry, I DO make the rules. Not only is she adorable, but this outfit is sooOOooOOo much fun! From the giant safety pin to the gloves and the hair, I’m obsessed. 10/10, no notes!!!

Imogen Clark

Imogen Clark looks like an absolute gift strutting down the red carpet in a jumpsuit made entirely out of pearls and rhinestones. It’s giving burlesque realness and I love it with the sexy red lip.

Sycco

Sycco is certainly serving something with this look. I just don’t know what it is. The most probable reason this fit goes over my head is I’m not on the same level of effortless cool as the vocalist and producer. Regardless, she’s so cute.

Troye Sivan

International pop star and Charli xcx‘s bestie Troye Sivan is here!!!!! His outfit is reminiscent of what the boys at my high school used to wear. However, Troye seems excessively clean, probably smells impeccable and has accessorised beautifully. Although it’s a simple look, he looks amazing. Troye never misses.

Bluey & Banjo

In an absolutely scandalous decision, cartoon canine sisters Bluey and Banjo opted out of the whole red-carpet fashion hullabaloo. Instead, they felt that their thick, blue heeler coats were enough of a fashion statement as they greeted fans. Crazy behaviour. Also, did I miss when these two dropped an album or a diss track? How did they cop an invite?

Kita Alexander

Singer Kita Alexander looks like a vision in this casual yet ethereal look. It’s the type of fit that if you told me about it, I’d be like ‘absolutely not, darl’. Kita proves that sometimes an outfit truly is the sum of its parts.

Missy Higgins

Missy Higgins clearly used a bar of soap and a scrubbing brush down to her bones because she scrubs up nice!!!

The iconic Aussie singer is keeping it simple with this floor-length, black dress. It’s like a much nicer version than the dress I anticipate all my 30-something cousins will wear to Christmas Lunch. I promise I mean that in a non-derogatory way. I think she looks gorgeous and nails the relaxed vibe that the ARIAs have traditionally had.

Budjerah

Noted sweet pea Budjerah has arrived!!!!! This look is classic and extra sweet just because he’s wearing it. Bless up, I love him, I’m biased.

Vera Blue

Look, it’s not the best photo of The Voice alum Vera Blue. However, I think it’s time for a little commotion for the dress. It’s luxe, it’s extravagant, it’s elegant. I would expect nothing less from Miss Blue.

Barkaa

Barkaa, I am SCREAMING! Australia’s favourite rapper is serving body-ody-ody in this incredible mini-dress. From the off-the-shoulder detail to the hourglass silhouette this outfit is creating, I am gagged.

Kween Kong

RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under and Global All Stars superstar Kween Kong never shows up underdressed. This elaborate silk outfit is stunning. I can only imagine how much our queen is sweating in this get-up up but, god, she looks good. If I had the make-up expertise Kween Kong did, it would be over for everyone who ever crossed me.

Dobby

I’m an advocate for any man who opts not to wear a boring suit to an event. I love that Dobby‘s fit is a nod to his Filipino and Murrawarri heritage. Also, the blue hair is so cute!!!!

Millie Ford

TikTok queen Millie Ford got me screaming “boys in the back!!!!” at this adorable outfit!!! It is soOoOoo reminiscent of the early 2000s and I’m incredibly here for it. I also love to see her here at the ARIAs, especially after the release of “Loverstruck”, her track with Hellcat Speedracer. What can’t she do?

Sarah Ellen

Former viral star turned model and musician Sarah Ellen is certainly raising some eyebrows with this look (ha ha get it?). In all seriousness though, Miss Girl never misses. This is incredible. This is art. This is ARIAs.

Fanny Lumsden

A sheer dress and boots combo? Of course, it’s Fanny Lumsden!!! The singer-songwriter is giving boho chic but elevated from 2016 Pinterest boho chic into 2024. Nice one, Fanny!!!

Van-Anh Nguyen

Who said the pop girlies had all the fun? Australian classical pianist Van-Anh Nguyen has arrived at the 2024 ARIA Awards red carpet and she did not come to play. From the mullet-esque bubble skirt to the smokey eye this look captures the playful, edgy yet elevated style that we love to see at the ARIAs. Yes, mama!!!!

Charley

THIS!!!!!!! THIS IS WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT!!!! Charley is out here doing the lord’s work in this Grecian-inspired little number. This is what I thought I looked like when I went to my uni’s toga party as an undergrad. Sadly, photos posted online after the event confirmed I did not look like this. My toga fit like one of those one-eyed witches from Hercules.

Anyway, Charley ate with this. Obsessed as always by her ARIA fits.

Matthew Ifield

Smooth crooner Matthew Ifield is keeping it simple but stylish in a slightly oversized suit. Personally I think he is soOoOoo underrated so I’m just stoked he’s here. Pop off Matthew!!!!!

KLP

KLP said yes to vibes and no to glare and sunburn on this year’s sunny red carpet. I’m gagged for it. I love elevated suiting choices and I feel like she looks so perfectly cool and effortless. Brilliant.

Lucinda ‘Froomes’ Price

@frooomes

Omg real life Sim at the ARIAs much?

♬ original sound – frooomes

Baby girl and published author Lucinda Price AKA Froomes has hit the nail on the head with this fit. I love it so much that she’s not even at the bloody event and I had to include her. From the cvnty little bag to the mini dress and the tights — this is exactly the vibe I envision when I think of the ARIA Awards. No notes, mama!!!!

Taylor Haynes

TODAY presenter Taylor Haynes is a glistening pink goddess in this ruched asymmetrical moment.

Lucia Hawley

7Bravo presenter and Nicole Kidman‘s niece Lucia Hawley looks like a dream in this little black dress! Without getting a tape measure out, I estimate that her legs are 10000 metres long.

Christian Wilkins

The first person to hit up the 2024 ARIA Award’s red carpet is none other than model, podcaster and fashion icon Christian Wilkins. While this gorgeous, floor-length black dress is lovely, the real scene stealer are those fkn arms. I’m usually not one for the right to bear arms (politically, anyway) but in this case, I’m in full support. Drop the shoulder routine, king!!!!!

Just quietly though, was there an instruction to send the nepo babies out on the carpet first?

Wow, wasn’t that fun? I hope you enjoyed the red carpet looks as much as I did!!!!
