Taylor Swift started the first leg of the 2024 Eras Tour on Wednesday night (or very early in the morning in the United States) in Tokyo, Japan. It was the first of four shows in Tokyo, and the first since Swift announced her upcoming studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, at the Grammys.
The now 14-time Grammy winner will be touring almost non-stop for the entire year, and at each show she adds two “surprise songs” to her 44-song, three hour plus set list.
On night one in Tokyo, Swift went with “Dear Reader” from Midnights (3AM Edition) and “Holy Ground” from Red. It was the first time performing “Dear Reader” for Swift.
