Both Swansea City and Cardiff City are set for big overhauls of their squads this summer.
In SA1, head coach Russell Martin is overseeing a season of transition, moulding his team to the structure and vision he wants.
He has already carried out a fair bit of recruitment work at the Swansea.com Stadium, bringing in players who he feels fit his style of play.
But further change is coming, judging by his comments following the 4-0 thrashing at Sheffield United on Saturday.
"I think so," responded Martin when asked if a summer overhaul is likely.
"We've changed a lot, I probably would have liked to have changed a bit more.
"We want to play a certain way and it requires a certain character and physical profile.
"We have some excellent players here, some who are unbelievably well suited to it, some who are not ideally suited to it, but that doesn't make them bad players.
"We have what we have until the end of the season, and I'm happy with that, the guys we have got."
As for Steve Morison in the Welsh capital, the Bluebirds have 10 players out of contract this summer and a host of loan players returning to their parent clubs. It looks extremely likely that the reset button will be pushed at Cardiff City Stadium at the end of the campaign.
The manager has overseen an upturn in results since he took over from Mick McCarthy but until Morison is given the keys full time, recruitment matters will remain up in the air.
Both teams will be operating on a shoestring budget, and we recently brought you a selection of free agents the Welsh clubs could sign right now to boost their options.
Here, we bring you the full list of out-of-contract Championship player Swansea and Cardiff could pick up this summer.
