The 15 best looks from the Democrat campaign: From Kamala's power suits to Beyonce's office siren attire

Everywhere Kamala Harris goes, she leaves a trail of elegant and well dressed ladies in her wake. It has made the Harris-Walz campaign unusually easy on the eye, certainly more so than the bright red and bloodstained sights of Trump’s MAGA centric campaign (and that’s to say nothing of his ill fitting and constantly creased suits, or the unsightly presence of Joe Rogan).

While Kamala herself is a loyal devotee of the power suit, she has made thoughtful changes to her outfits while campaigning to liven them up. Black and navy suits are broken up by pale blues and lilacs, or the occasional coffee tone. Her blouse style changes constantly, from pussy bow to asymmetric grey silk (chic!), and she’s never without a dainty, interesting pair of earrings.

For the last day of the Democratic National Convention, she wore a suit by Chloé, though she’s also partial to Altuzarra, Max Mara and Oscar de la Renta. The DNC was where it became immediately apparent that this election was going to be a stylish one. Not just thanks to Harris, but due to her many big name endorsements, as well as some surprising fresh faces.

Ella Emhoff, Kamala Harris’s artist stepdaughter, was one of those fresh faces. The 25-year-old divided opinion when she stepped onto the stage at the DNC, wearing an off-shoulder baby blue and white dress by Joe Ando, paired with black ballet flats and white socks. In the comments of Check the Tag, the popular clothes identification Instagram account, one user wrote: “If you don’t get it, it’s because she’s a few trend cycles ahead of you.”

Since then, Emhoff’s style has attracted quite the following, and she even walked for Coach during New York Fashion Week this September. She’s also been spotted wearing some fun Coach creations at other events, aligning herself publicly with the brand.

Then a fashion heavyweight entered the mix, confirming once and for all that this was a sartorial election for the ages. Beyoncé took to the stage in Houston wearing a black suit dress, a key item from Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s collaboration with fashion brand Wardrobe NYC.

She was kept company by the equally stylish Kelly Rowland, her Destiny’s Child bandmate, who was wearing an oversized, Wall Street chic from Fear of God's spring 2025 collection.

Meanwhile, one of most reliably well dressed stars of the Harris-Walz campaign has been a certain former FLOTUS, Michelle Obama. Freed from the confines of First Lady dressing, Obama’s more relaxed dressing in recent years has cemented her as a woman with real taste.

Just look at her outfit for the Get Out The Vote Rally in Atlanta: a sleeveless cable knit vest by R13, with distressed, patchwork jeans by Balmain. Not a risk free combination, but it paid off.
