The 14 Tottenham players who will be in Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici's plans for 2022/23

The end of the 2021/22 Premier League season is almost upon with the campaign drawing to a close on Sunday evening. A season with plenty of ups and downs, Spurs will go into the final day in the driving seat for a Champions League spot.

A win against Norwich City will be enough to wrap up fourth, with a point also good enough unless there is a huge swing in goal difference with Arsenal up against Everton. Once the final whistle goes at Carrow Road on Sunday then attention will quickly turn to Tottenham's summer plans as they look to improve their squad before August.

So which of the current Tottenham squad will be in Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici's plans for 2022/23? football.london takes a look.

Hugo Lloris

With his deal initially due to run out this summer, any fears over Lloris' future were resolved in January when he penned a two-year contract extension. A key player for Conte, the World Cup winner will retain his place between the sticks once again.

Cristian Romero

Signed on loan from Atalanta back in August, Spurs will make the player's deal permanent this summer. The Argentina international has been a revelation in N17 and he will continue to play a major role going forward.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

A key player in the heart of midfield ever since his move from Southampton two years ago, Hojbjerg will again be integral to Tottenham's plans. However, he faces a big fight to keep his place in the side with Oliver Skipp and Rodrigo Bentancur potentially looking like Conte's first-choice pairing.

Davinson Sanchez

Sanchez may have had limited opportunities in the first team in recent months but he has always played well when called upon. Conte certainly trusts him and Spurs need some good cover if any of their first-choice backline are absent.

Son Heung-min

Outstanding for Tottenham once again this season, Son is going nowhere after penning a four-year contract last summer. The South Korean's goals and assists are going to be pivotal to Tottenham going places under Conte.

Harry Kane

Looking like he could be heading for the exit door one year ago with a move to Man City in the offing, he won't be moving to the Etihad Stadium this summer after they agreed on a deal for Erling Haaland. Kane has limited options if he is to depart but Spurs will be hoping they can tie him down to a new deal.

Eric Dier

Dier has taken his game to another level over the course of the season and his importance to the team was clear to see when he was missing at the turn of the year. Having a key role as the leader in Conte's backline, the Spurs boss told football.london back in December that Dier can become one of the best players in the world in his position.

Ryan Sessegnon

Following such a frustrating start to his Tottenham career due to a host of injury issues, Sessegnon has had a good run of games under Conte in recent months and delivered with some impressive performances. A player with all the qualities to be a huge success in the head coach's system, the ex-Fulham man could really flourish if he recaptures his best form and plays week in, week out.

Dejan Kulusevski

Paratici pulled off a transfer coup in January with Kulusevski joining on an 18-month loan deal from Juventus. Having the option this summer to sign him for £25m, all will be hoping Tottenham move early to wrap the transfer up given how impressive he has been in his short time in the capital.

Japhet Tanganga

Injuries have once again hit the academy ace and limited his playing time as a result. While it's hard to see Tanganga getting regular minutes in the league, he will provide cover across the backline and get opportunities in cup football.

Oliver Skipp

You can see how much Conte rates Skipp by how desperate he was to get the player back to fitness from his recent injury issue. A regular under the Italian in his first few months in the job, the England U21 international could form a formidable pairing with Bentancur in the heart of midfield.

Rodrigo Bentancur

Bentancur has hit the ground running at Tottenham and demonstrated his class with some calm and composed performances in midfield. He's going to be a big part of the Spurs team for years to come.

Ben Davies

Davies will have competition for his left-sided centre-back role next season with Tottenham having it down as a priority to strengthen. You'd certainly back him to keep his place in the side given his form under Conte, however.

Brandon Austin

Austin will continue to provide cover for Tottenham's goalkeepers next term. He will be hoping that an appearance or two will come his way in cup competition.

The players with uncertain futures

Tottenham do have the chance to make Pierluigi Gollini's loan deal permanent this summer but that money could be spent better elsewhere. As a result, the Italian may be set to make a swift return to Atalanta.

Tottenham's need for a new right wing-back means Matt Doherty and Emerson Royal's futures are up in the air as things stand, with one likely to move on if Spurs strengthen there. On the opposite flank, Sergio Reguilon has been linked with a return to Spain in the past and it wouldn't be a surprise if Spurs tried to upgrade there to get the best out of Conte's system.

At centre-back, Joe Rodon needs to move on to play regular football elsewhere, whether that is a loan deal or a permanent move remains to be seen. Cameron Carter-Vickers will be on the move, however, after such a successful time on loan at Celtic.

In midfield, Tottenham shouldn't struggle to move on Giovani Lo Celso going on his form for Villarreal but it may be a different story when it comes to Tanguy Ndombele. Harry Winks could also depart given the options ahead of him, while Pape Matar Sarr will link up with the club this summer and a decision will have to be taken over whether or not he can play a part for Spurs next term.

Tottenham's attack could also look slightly different next season with Steven Bergwijn needing a permanent move and Jack Clarke in the same boat. Another loan move could be on the cards for Bryan Gil if he is not ready for regular Premier League football and it could be the right time to move on Lucas Moura due to his contract status if Spurs want to add some more quality to their attack.
