It seems the pastime of dogging is still alive and swinging in Leeds as a website has revealed the hotspots in our area.
Swingers have revealed their favourite dogging spots from country parks to laybys and back roads on the sexincarparks website - which has hundreds of users from across the county.
There's a handful of places in Leeds you might want to avoid after dark if it's not your cup of tea.
What is dogging?
- Dogging is a slang term for having sex in public while other people watch.
- It usually occurs in car parks or woodland in quiet areas.
Is dogging illegal?
Although it is not banned by one particular law, participants could be committing several offences. These include anything from indecent exposure, public lewdness and gross indecency. People caught may also be prosecuted under the Sexual Offences Act 2003 or for outraging public decency.

Information has been taken off of sexincarparks.com - a website which offers information on the nearest hotspots near you, with four different categories in which you can pick from to begin with.

Mansion Lane
'Across the road from an elegant dining venue, there's a small car park where a certain group of individuals can be found during the late hours.'
Recreation ground at Moorefield Road
'A popular sports recreation field in Armley is one of the more popular hotspots for sexual activities in the city.'
Becketts Park
'The public park which stretches from Queenswood Drive to Batcliffe Mount is also an unsurprisingly popular destination. The park encompasses the Beckett Park School, a children's play park, a skate park and tennis courts. Due to the sports facilities, the park is popular with local students, as well as those looking for other activities.'
Temple Newsam car park
'After 6pm at a Temple Newsam car ark, there is apparently "lots of straight and gay action."

'Just outside of a large Range store, a small quiet road can be found in Hunslet.
'Should you venture down there on a Wednesday and Friday evening, you may find a few ongoings.'
Adel Woods
'The back entrance car park is also a popular destination. If you go up king lane, pass the park on the left, pass the car park entrance, to the next left turn, follow the road down the country lane, until you come to the car park on the left.
'People can be found there from 9pm onwards.'
Golden acre park
'The somewhat picturesque area off of Golden Acre Park has been frequently highlighted as popular dogging area in Leeds.'
Rothwell HGV station
'There is a lay-by a bit further dawn from the HGV testing station near Rothwell. This is supposedly a very popular through spot through the day and night.'
Manston Lane
'Manston lane, In to Crossgates in Leeds. Follow Austhorpe road out of Crossgates east. Straight on at mini roundabout and past barnbow works. Follow down the single track right to the end.'
The website adds: "Good daytime meetings and a good place to take dirty photos."
Methley
'Come off junction 30 towards Wakefield take first left B6135 and proceed for a mile until passing underneath motorway. Take immediate first left into a large lay-by. Best for couples at night from 11pm and particularly Saturdays/Sundays after midnight.'
Sands Lane
'From Leeds follow signs for Huddersfield (A638)on ring road. At traffic lights by Matalan turn left passing Sainsbury's supermarket on left and take second turn on left just past the K.F.C. on right. Usually people there Saturday and Sunday nights.'
Oulton
'Fleet Lane. Go into Oulton and its the road by the side of the petrol station (not Tesco one) (near rothwell roundabout). Its a very long open road. Keep going down it, past the football grounds, past the farms and over the bridge. There is a small car park at the very end past the factory. Action mostly weekends but have seen couples there on all nights of the week.’
Wetherby
'A new place if you go through the town heading towards Harrogate take the turning on the left to Sicklinghall and Linton and about a quarter of a mile on the right is a turning that leads into a disused car park which also has some recycling facilities, down at the bottom after 8pm Wednesday to Sunday good couples with a lot of watching going on, and invitations, very private indeed.’
