The 2023 World Cup is over, and for the first time, Spain is the women’s champion.
It was a thrilling run for La Roja , which had been on fire since losing the last group stage match to Japan. Olga Carmona scored in both the semifinal win over Sweden and in the final over England, who had an incredible run of its own before falling short on Sunday.
