Such has been the impact of the 29-year-old, Liverpool ended their 30-year wait for a league title and claimed a sixth European Cup in 2019.

Jurgen Klopp's side will be desperate to keep Salah at the club, with his current deal set to expire next summer, but a breakthrough in negotiations is yet to be reached.

“He is in Liverpool’s all-time eleven on the right wing, that’s his. And he is one of the top five or six players to ever play for Liverpool Football Club. He has won the biggest trophies; he was won the European Cup, he has won the league.

“His goalscoring record is out of this world. He has won the Golden Boot virtually every year since he has been in the country.

"Since he joined the club, Liverpool have been to a Champions League final, won the Champions League, won the league and he’s been top scorer in the league.

“That shows the impact he’s had. He is one of the all-time greats in the Premier League, no doubt."

Salah currently leads the way in the Premier League goalscoring charts (16), despite missing matches against Bretford and Crystal Palace due to competing at the Africa Cup of Nations.

In the Champions League, meanwhile, only Robert Lewandowski (9) and Sebastien Haller (10) have found the back of the net on more occasions this term in Europe's elite competition than the Liverpool talisman (8).
