Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof had a difficult task on his hands against Slovenia on Tuesday night. Sweden needed to win to avoid relegation from their Nations League group, however, there was nothing Lindelof could do about Slovenia's opener.
With a searching ball from deep, Slovenia were able to find Benjamin Sesko in space on the far left-hand side of the box, but no one could have expected what happened next. Instead of taking it down, the 19-year-old striker hit the ball on the volley with his weaker foot and smashed it past goalkeeper Robin Olsen.
It was a stunning strike that explained why United had considered the Slovenian forward in the summer. United were interested in having the youngster lead the line at Old Trafford, but RB Salzburg found an agreement with RB Leipzig which saw Sesko remain in Austria this season before moving next summer.

The strike reignited the conversation over whether United tried hard enough to secure Sesko's signature. Fans posed the question on social media while also praising the strike.
Some compared the finish to incredible strikes from Marco van Basten and Francesco Totti, but many United fans saw similarities between how Sesko took the chance and Robin van Persie's famous strike against Aston Villa in the 2012/13 season.
Fans will remember how Wayne Rooney found Van Persie with a long pass from deep before the Dutchman struck the ball sweetly into the Aston Villa net. Fans made their thoughts on Sesko's attempt known on social media.
