Piers Morgan gave a few hours notice on Twitter last night (April 20) that he'd be dropping the name of his first interviewee for new talk show Piers Uncensored, coming to TalkTV on April 25. His tweet promised the interview would make "global news around the world" and he was right. Finally releasing the teaser clip at 9pm, it showed him sitting down to interview former president of the United States, Donald Trump.
The interview, which will be aired on Monday, April 25, on Piers Morgan Uncensored, shows Trump saying: "OK, Piers, I'm ready," as the pair sit face to face for a candid discussion. In the 30-second clip, Trump then says: "I'm a very honest man, much more honest than you." And it seems as though the interview was downhill all the way as towards the end of the clip we see Trump becoming agitated saying: "Very dishonest, let's finish up the interview. Turn the camera off".

With Twitter erupting last night as millions watched the clip, there has been a statement from the Trump camp today stating: "“Piers Morgan, like the rest of the fake news media, attempted to unlawfully and deceptively edit his long and tedious interview.” It continued: “He wanted to make it look like I (Trump) walked out on the interview when my time limit of 20 minutes went over by an hour.”
It added: “The interview was actually very strong on the 2020 Election Fraud, with me calling him a 'fool' if he truly believed those results”. Lastly it said: "He (Piers) when out of his way to deceptively edit an interview and got caught. That's a big story, isn't it?"
Piers Morgan made the news himself last year when he storm off the set of Good Morning Britain, following an on-air row with weather presenter Alex Beresford over the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s interview with Oprah Winfrey. Piers said said he did not believe Meghan Markle's claims of mental health problems in the interview, and his comments received the most complaints to Ofcom it its history.
Piers Uncensored will air on TalkTV on April 25.
