Jurgen Klopp doesn't expect Liverpool's transfer business to be hampered by a lack of Champions League football next term - but admits it may take time for the club to conclude new signings.
The Reds will be busy during the close season as they look to reinforce a squad that has failed to finish in the top four for the first time in seven years.
Klopp and the recruitment team have pinpointed at least two new high-profile midfielders as a priority, with Brighton and Hove Albion's Alexis Mac Allister at the top of the list of targets.

Liverpool conclude their Premier League season on Sunday at relegated Southampton, and will reconvene at the AXA Training Centre on July 8 to begin preparations for the new campaign. And Klopp has indicated supporters may have to be patient before new faces are confirmed.
Asked if offering only Europa League football next season will be an issue in terms of convincing players to join, the Liverpool boss said: “I don’t think so, but we will see. That is obviously possible, it's always possible things don’t go as quick as you want. It's not only possible, it is probably likely.
"The better the players you want, the lesser is the desire of the other club to let him go. And that's exactly what we are prepared for.
"But it's a long window and a long pre-season and a long break in between, so we have time if we get in players tomorrow or in six or seven weeks. It is not a game-changer for me, to be honest.
"In an ideal world they all sign tomorrow and I can tell them when to be and we can start giving them the plans for the summer break but that will not likely happen."
