Ian Wright believes Virgil van Dijk's penalty in Liverpool's shootout win over Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final could have 'finished' Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Kepa tried some mind games when it came to Van Dijk 's penalty as he moved over slightly to one side, leaving a huge space to his left for the centre half to put the ball into.
However, Liverpool 's number four opted against the wider target and thundered his penalty past Kepa and into the top corner as the Reds eventually lifted their first trophy of last season.

After converting his penalty, Van Dijk then glared at the Spanish goalkeeper to make him aware of his thoughts about Kepa's mind games.
Wright told his Wrighty’s House podcast as he applauded Kepa's resilience following being reinstated as Chelsea's number one: "Can I say something about Kepa? What happened with him at that Wembley final with Van Dijk is the ultimate… it could have finished him. That finishes people.
"It probably finishes you as a goalkeeper. He fell so low that people had actually forgot about him. Mendy got injured and has lost form, Kepa’s come in and everyone has remembered him again."
