Thandiwe Newton shared her support for fellow actress Salma Hayek's film after the actress replaced her in Magic Mike 3.
The actress, 49, left the third instalment of the Channing Tatum movie earlier this month after just two weeks of filming, with reports she had split from her husband Ol Parker emerging last week.
Thandiwe spoke of her appreciation for Salma, 55, as she shared her 2017 film Beatriz at Dinner.
Sharing a screenshot of the film's poster on her Instagram Stories on Monday, Thandiwe wrote: "For me, no finer performance, no finer film, about the real questions we need to be asking.
"I love you @salmahayek #Mexico."
The film stars Salma, John Lithgow, Connie Britton and Jay Duplass.
It follows a Mexican holistic healer who is stranded at a self-satisfied and privileged client's house after driving to visit her.
Salma has recently been pictured filming scenes for the new movie with Channing in London's Clapham Junction.
She was wearing the same outfit that Thandiwe's character was wearing before she left the movie.
Deadline confirmed the news of the return of Magic Mike in November last year.
It will be created by Warner Bros. and premiere exclusively on HBO Max.
"As soon as I saw what Channing, Reid, and the Magic Mike choreographic team did with the live show, I said, 'We have to make another movie.'
"Mike Lane’s dream of connecting people through dance must be realised," screenwriter Steven Soderbergh told the publication.
Last week fans of Thandiwe were left shocked by reports she had called quits on her marriage to film director and screenwriter Ol Parker after 24 years together.
A source told Page Six : "It became clear she couldn’t play the role.

Warner Bros released a statement which said the star 'made the difficult decision to step away from the production to deal with family matters'.
Before the announcement, Thandiwe and Ol have not been seen together since their 2020 holiday to Ibiza.
Thandie and Ol are parents to children Booker, Ripley and Nico.
Nico, 17, made her film debut as Milly Farrier in the Disney remake of Dumbo in 2019.
