Thandiwe Newton breaks her silence after 'split from husband of 24 years'

Thandiwe Newton has broken her social media silence after it was reported she had 'split' from her husband of 24 years.

The 49-year-old Westworld actress and Oliver Parker share three children together, and they are said to have decided to end their love story for good.

Although the couple have yet to discuss the supposed split, Thandiwe broke her silence on Instagram with a new post.

She took to her Stories on Monday to share a picture of a white dress emblazoned with a powerful message from a 2Pac song.

The Zoe Buckman dress had 'Do we hate our women' in the middle and 'I wonder why we take from our women... why we rape our women' written on the sides.

Zoe is a visual artist and photographer and a lot of her work focus on feminism and activism.

The dress shared by Thadiwe includes lyrics from 2Pac's hit song Keep Ya Head Up.

It was recently reported that the actress is 'struggling' with the separation from Ol.

According to reports from The Sun, the actress flew from London to the US last week as her team are 'hoping to get her support'.

It comes amid fears the Hollywood actress is in 'a bad place' following the split.

“Stressed” Thandiwe is also said to have fired her UK agent after three decades.

Earlier this month, Thandiwe made the decision to step away from the new Magic Mike production.

A source told Page Six : "It became clear she couldn’t play the role.

"There is a lot going on in her personal life, she and her husband have separated. She seemed so stressed she even brought her two pet rabbits to her hotel for emotional support."

The Crash actress married the English director and producer in 1998. Two years later, they welcomed a daughter, Ripley.

Nico was born in 2004 and their son Booker was born in 2014.

Ol and Thandiwe met in 1997 while working on the TV movie, In Your Dreams, and the two got along instantaneously.

"He wrote a screenplay called In Your Dreams that I filmed in 1997," she told InStyle.

"It’s very unusual to have writers around on set because directors don’t want them there. But they love having Ol around. He was on set every day and I fell madly in love with him."
