The Foreign Office has issued an update for travellers planning to visit Thailand from the UK.
The government department has updated its guidance for anyone travelling to the Southeast Asian nation after health bosses have changed entry requirements for certain visitors.
Thailand has had some of the strictest border rules in recent years, only recently allowing tourists to enter again fairly recently.

Until July 1, 2022, travellers had to apply for a Thailand Pass, or have mandatory travel insurance to visit Thailand. This was on top of having to show proof of vaccination.
In an attempt to return to some form of normality, and boost the country's tourism industry, some rules were eased. But the UK Foreign Office has now confirmed some are being brought back.
On Monday (January 9), the government department said: "As of 9 January, if you are visiting Thailand and then travelling to a country that requires a RT-PCR test for entry, you will need to purchase medical insurance prior to your arrival in Thailand that provides cover for Covid-19 treatment."
Various news outlets are reporting Thailand is also bringing back the need for proof of vaccination, however the Foreign Office currently gives no mention of this on its website.
