The Apec 2022 meeting will be held in Bangkok, and Thailand will be in headlines next month. The Government Public Relations Department recently launched the "Thailand Ready Apec Ready" campaign at Conrad Bangkok Hotel to increase public awareness of how Thais may benefit from this opportunity.
The campaign is designed around the concept "Open. Connect. Balance.", which emphasises growth and balance in all aspects through responsible business operations with environmental considerations and building food security and agriculture for the well-being of the people. It opens to all trade and investment opportunities and connects in all dimensions to restore convenient and safe travel between one another.
"Thailand has taken into account the development of environmental management systems under the concept of bio-economy, circular economy, and green economy [Bio-Circular-Green Economy Model, or BCG] as the main idea that will drive Apec this time, as well as presenting the achievements and the important works of the government to show our readiness to host Apec 2022 Thailand, through presentations of activities, performances, videos and demonstration booths, in line with the main activities from September to November," said Anucha Nakasai, minister to the Prime Minister's Office.
To promote Apec 2022 in Thailand, the Public Relations Department has named nine representatives of Thailand -- Komsan Saelee, Khemanit Jamikorn, chef Chumpol Jangprai, Anchilee Scott-Kemmis, Tharina Botes, Titipun Tubthong, Khemupsorn Sirisukha, Aukrit Unahalekhaka and Suppasit Jongcheveevat. All activities will be held from now and up to the date of the Apec Summit on Nov 18-19.
