A former Texas high school teacher allegedly invited a student who was homeless to live with her and then sexually assaulted him multiple times, going as far as to tattoo his name onto her body, officials say.
Former Lewisville Independent School District high school teacher Alainee Simonson was arrested on Friday after being accused of crimes committed in 2022 and 2023. She was charged with sexual assault of a child and having an improper relationship with a student, according to a release obtained by WFAA.
The student reported the assault to authorities in September of 2024. The student, who had been 16 at the time of the alleged assault, moved into Simonson's family home after she offered him a place to stay when his uncle moved out of state for work. The student's mother, who lives in Honduras, gave him her permission to move in with Simonson.
According to the affidavit, the victim alleges that he and Simonson had sex over 40 times.
The victim also alleged that Simonson sent him a nude photo of herself in which a tattoo she got of his name is visible. Simonson admitted to authorities that she did have the victim's name tattooed on her arm, but that she never had a sexual relationship with him. She further indicated that she had a tattoo on her arm of her other child's name.
Simonson, who worked at Killough High School, was hired on Aug. 2, 2022, and resigned on Feb. 17, 2023.
"The district, law enforcement and Child Protective Services investigated reports of concerning behavior by the teacher but were unable to substantiate an inappropriate relationship between the teacher and a student at the time the concerns were reported," said Lewisville ISD in a statement.
"The teacher was immediately placed on administrative leave, and submitted her resignation in February, 2023. She was employed at Killough High School beginning August 2022," they continued.
