A suspect in Texas, Seth 'Andrea' Gregori, 21, was arrested on Monday for allegedly planning an attack similar to the deadly 2016 Dallas ambush. The Corpus Christi Police Department, with the assistance of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, apprehended Gregori on a terroristic threats warrant.
Authorities were alerted to Gregori's threats against Corpus Christi Police Department officers, leading to an investigation and subsequent arrest. Gregori, who identifies as female despite being born male, had reportedly been seen interacting with officers in the downtown area and had recently purchased an AR-style gun, according to a tipster.
The FBI's Houston office mentioned similarities between Gregori's alleged plan and the 2016 Dallas ambush, where Micah Xavier Johnson killed five Dallas Police Department officers and injured seven others during a Black Lives Matter protest. Johnson, an ex-U.S. Army reservist, was later killed by police.

Dallas Police Chief David O. Brown revealed that Johnson's attack was motivated by anger towards White people, particularly White officers, following fatal shootings of Black men by police in Louisiana and Minnesota.
Gregori faces charges of terroristic threats impeding public service/causing public fear or serious bodily injury and criminal trespass. As of Tuesday morning, Gregori was being held at Nueces County Jail on a bond of $50,500.
