Texas Rangers Celebrate World Series Victory At White House

The Texas Rangers, fresh off their historic 2023 World Series victory, are scheduled to visit the White House on Thursday to meet with President Joe Biden. This visit marks the first time the Rangers have been invited to the White House to celebrate their championship win, a significant milestone in the franchise's history.

Manager Bruce Bochy, who led the Rangers to their first World Series title, is no stranger to White House visits. Bochy previously visited the White House on three occasions after winning World Series titles with the San Francisco Giants in 2011, 2013, and 2015 during the presidency of Barack Obama.

The Rangers secured their World Series victory by defeating the Arizona Diamondbacks in Game 5 last November, capping off an impressive season. Following their White House visit, the team is scheduled to travel to New York for a series against the Yankees, continuing their post-championship activities.

President Biden's participation in the event is notable as it marks a rare public appearance since his announcement on July 21 that he would not seek reelection and instead endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris to lead the Democratic ticket in the upcoming November elections.
