Texas Mom Missing, Husband's Charges Called 'Ludicrous'

Missing: The Lucie Blackman Case-FanArt

The search for Suzanne Simpson, a 51-year-old luxury real estate agent and mother of four from Texas, has entered its third week with no sign of her whereabouts. Suzanne went missing on October 6 after an alleged altercation with her husband, Brad Simpson, in Olmos Park near San Antonio.

Brad Simpson, 53, has been charged with assault causing bodily injury, family violence, and unlawful restraint in connection with the incident involving his wife. His attorney, Steven Gilmore, has vehemently denied the charges, calling them 'ludicrous' and suggesting that they are a tactic to keep Brad in custody.

According to reports, a neighbor witnessed a physical altercation between Brad and Suzanne on the night of October 6 at a local club. The neighbor claimed to have seen Suzanne trying to break free from Brad's grasp before hearing screams emanating from a nearby wooded area. Brad was allegedly seen driving away in his black GMC pickup truck and returning later.

Despite attempts by law enforcement to interview Brad, he has been uncooperative, further fueling suspicions surrounding Suzanne's disappearance. The family member of Brad Simpson informed authorities about multiple firearms owned by him, including a short-barreled rifle that was not registered with federal authorities.

Brad Simpson is also facing charges for unlawful restraint and illegal possession of a firearm.

Authorities conducted a search of the Simpson residence and recovered the unregistered firearm, leading to a federal charge against Brad for illegal possession. Gilmore claims that the firearm was legally purchased and registered, suggesting that the federal charge is a tactic to prevent Brad's release on bond for the state charges.

The search for Suzanne extended to a local landfill but yielded no evidence related to her disappearance. Now, efforts are focused on wooded areas in and around Olmos Park in the hope of finding any clues that could lead to Suzanne's whereabouts.

As the investigation continues, the community remains concerned for Suzanne's well-being. She was last seen wearing a black dress and is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing approximately 140 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.
