Texas Man Gets Run Over by Car After Falling Into Street During Road-Rage Argument

A road-rage confrontation in Hays County, Texas, turned fatal when a man fell into traffic and was struck by an oncoming vehicle, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).

Authorities said the incident occurred Nov. 29 near US 290 and Nutty Brown Road, where 45-year-old John Paul Ramirez and another driver, Charles Allen Rice, exited their vehicles during a dispute, KXAN reported. Details about the nature of their confrontation remain unclear.

During the altercation, Ramirez fell into the eastbound lane and was hit by a passing car. He was transported to an Austin hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Rice, the other driver involved in the argument, was arrested on a second-degree felony manslaughter charge by the Hays County Sheriff's Office. He was later released on a $25,000 bond.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not provided further details about what led to the tragic incident.
