On Wednesday, Texas Governor Greg Abbott visited the White House to meet with President Donald Trump to discuss their joint efforts in enhancing security along the southern border of the United States with Mexico. In a notable development, Governor Abbott recently granted Texas National Guard soldiers the authority to arrest undocumented immigrants in coordination with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, underscoring his commitment to enforcing immigration laws.
