A Texas father, aged 46, is facing serious charges after allegedly intentionally setting his home on fire with his three children inside. The incident took place on November 6 at 31619 Eldorado Lane in the Polo Ranch Community of Fulshear, Texas.
The father, identified as Pedro Luis Parra Pulgar, has been charged with three counts of attempted murder and his bond has been set at $2.25 million. Despite suffering extensive injuries in the fire, he was released from the hospital and subsequently booked into the Fort Bend County Jail.
First responders quickly arrived at the scene of the fire, which caused significant damage to the home. Two of the children managed to escape with minor injuries, but a three-year-old child was trapped inside.
Officers on the scene heard faint sounds coming from the home and bravely entered through a bedroom window to rescue the trapped child. The three-year-old, who had suffered severe smoke inhalation, was airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment and has since been released.
