Big 12 commissioner Brett Yormark was showered in boos by Texas fans when he took the stage to present the Longhorns with their trophy and title belt following their 49–21 victory over Oklahoma State in the conference championship on Saturday.
But booing wasn’t all Yormark, who had been outspoken in his criticism of the Longhorns for leaving the Big 12, heard from the Texas faithful. While attempting to speak into the microphone, the Big 12 commissioner was drowned out by Texas fans chanting “SEC.”

It was likely a dream scenario for Longhorns fans—and a nightmare one for the commissioner—that Yormark had to present their team with the conference title in their final season in the Big 12. They certainly took full advantage of their opportunity, as they let Yormark have it.
The commissioner ruffled feathers when he openly stated he would be rooting against the Longhorns in their final regular season game in the Big 12, a contest they won by 50 points against Texas Tech this past weekend. Texas, in a direct response to those comments, replayed Yormark's quote on the video board as they clinched a berth in the Big 12 title game.
Is it any surprise, then, that the Longhorns fans seized their chance to be petty to Yormark one last time before they leave for the SEC?
