The Houston Texans are being disciplined after a salary cap reporting violation, the NFL announced Thursday.
The Texans will forfeit their original fifth-round selection (No. 138) in the 2023 NFL draft, as well as pay a $175,000 fine, after failing to report undisclosed compensation provided to former Houston quarterback Deshaun Watson in 2020.

Following a review, the NFL determined that the club provided than Texans’ quarterback Deshaun Watson with undisclosed compensation in the form of a membership at an alternative athletic facility in 2020.
With their fifth-round pick forfeited, the Texans still have 11 selections in the 2023 draft, which includes two first rounders (Nos. 2 and 12).
