First quarter
13:43 — The Texans are unable to pickup a first down and have to go three-and-out. RB Dameon Pierce had two carries for eight yards, but his second carry was stuffed for no gain on third-and-2 from Houston’s 33.
10:58 — The Broncos were moving the ball pretty well, picking up two first downs, but stalled out third-and-11 at the Houston 48. The ensuing punt went into the end zone for a touchback.
8:40 — Pierce stumbles in the backfield on a third-and-1 from their own 40 as soon as he takes the handoff. OLB Randy Gregory tags Pierce, but catches some face mask in the process that the officials miss.
6:01 — CB Steven Nelson had a nice pass breakup on a double reverse pass. WR Jerry Jeudy was injured on the play.
5:47 — Houston commits a combination of defensive offsides and pass interference (CB Derek Stingley) to setup the Broncos first-and-goal at the 2-yard line.
5:43 — QB Russell Wilson throws a fade on the left side for WR Courtland Sutton. Replay shows Sutton’s toes were out of bounds.
5:40 — Stingley breaks up the same play for Sutton.
5:33 — Wilson has his pass batted at the line of scrimmage and WR Kendall Hinton catches the pass out of bounds.

2:28 — On a third-and-5 from the Denver 22, QB Davis Mills misses RB Rex Burkhead down near the goal line left side.
2:23 — K Ka’imi Fairbairn nails a 40-yard field goal. 3-3
1:39 — DE Ogbonnia Okoronkwo gets tagged for offsides on a third-and-5 at the Denver 30.
1:39 — Houston commits defensive holding, causing an automatic first down.
Second quarter
14:16 — DE Rasheem Green sacks Wilson for a 6-yard loss.
13:31 — Wilson has a dump off for RB Melvin Gordon that goes for six yards on third-and-16 from the Denver 45.
7:24 — Fairbairn hits a 44-yard field goal. 6-3, Texans
5:50 — The Texans defense forces another Broncos punt, and P Corliss Waitman’s punt goes to the Texans’ 33-yard line; favorable field position. The Texans have two timeouts remaining in the first half.

8:36 — The Texans got as far as the Broncos’ 6-yard line, but they weren’t able to punch it in. Fairbairn’s 24-yard field goal gives Houston a tenuous lead. 9-6, Texans
8:33 — Williams appears to be bottled up in the backfield, but breaks tackles for a 17-yard gain out to the Denver 42-yard line.
7:56 — LB Kevin Pierre-Louis is injured on a Williams 2-yard gain and being tended to by trainers.
6:35 — The Broncos go for it on fourth-and-2 with Wilson hitting Sutton for a 6-yard gain to the Houston 44. Stingley was injured on the play.
3:24 — The Broncos incur a delay of game on their 54-yard field goal attempt. McManus is then waved off and Denver elects to punt.
Fourth quarter
15:00 — Pierre-Louis is questionable to return with a groin injury.
