There appear to be two unofficial rules for the draft under Houston Texans general manager Nick Caserio.
The first is picks must be packaged and traded to take players when possible.
The second is that each draft class must have at least two former Alabama players.
Houston checked both boxes with linebacker Henry To’oTo’o.
The Texans traded their Nos. 174 (Round 5) and 259 (Round 7) overall picks to the Los Angeles Rams for their No. 167 pick in Round 5. Houston then used that choice to take To’oTo’o.
The 22-year-old made first-team All-SEC in 2022 as a member of the Crimson Tide. Houston picked an Alabama linebacker last year with third-rounder Christian Harris.
